Questions to Ask When Renting a Photo Booth

Recently, the popularity of renting photo booths for special events has skyrocketed and it’s not hard to understand why. Photo booths lend a note of nostalgia to any event, while at the same time providing a unique flair and a touch of the unexpected. Above all, it is incredibly fun!

 

At $1000-$2000 a shot (possibly more in your area), you want to be sure you choose the right vendor. Look for reviews online (EasyEventPlanning.com may have reviews for photo booth vendors in your area). Here are some good questions to ask:

 

1. Do you offer vintage booths, digital booths or both?

2. Can I receive the photos on a DVD or via an online gallery?

3. Can I add a logo, artwork and/or text to the photos?

4. Do I have a choice of color, black & white or sepia photos?

5. Do you offer music and props?

6. Will guests be able to place their photos in a scrapbook upon exiting the booth?

7. Do you have specialty booths that will blend with my event décor?

8. Do you have video recording equipment inside the booths (to capture the antics that go on during photo sessions)?

9. Will I be able to display photo booth images into a continuous photo montage at my event?

10. Can I speak with the last 3 to 4 clients who’ve rented the type of booth I’m interested in?

11. What kind of experience will my attendant have?

12. What if the booth breaks down during my event? Is there a refund? Are you able to deliver another one quickly?

13. Do you guarantee that your prints will be smudge and scratch resistant?

14. Do you carry insurance?

15. What’s included in the price? (Delivery, removal, and an on-site attendant should be)

16. What is the overtime rate?

17. What is your payment policy?

18. What is your cancelation policy?

19. Why should I choose your company over your competitors?
