Choosing an Ice Carver

Ice sculptures can add sophistication and flair to any event. Look online for reviews (EasyEventPlanning.com may have reviews of local ice sculpture companies in your area) and be sure to ask the following of the carvers you interview:

1. How long have you been in this business? 

2. How long have you had this particular business? 

3. What made you get in to it?

4. What were you doing before?

5. Have you delivered a sculpture to my venue? 

6. Do you have certain themes that you specialize in?

Other

7. How long do you estimate your sculpture will last? 

8. Do you carry insurance?

9. Will you supply a dip tray? Will it be disguised (with greenery, etc.)? 

10. Can you imbed items in to the sculpture? Is there an extra charge? 

11. Can I speak with your most recent 3 or 4 clients? 

12. Will you have a sculpture displayed at any upcoming event in my area? Would I be able to see it before the event starts (unless it’s a bridal/trade show where you’d be attending the show) 

13. Can I have your cell phone number? Are you able to receive emails on your cell phone? 

14. How quickly can I expect a response to an email or voicemail? 

15. Do you have an emergency back-up? 

16. What is included in your price? Customization, drip tray, lighted base, transportation, etc. 

17. What is your payment policy?

18. What is your cancellation policy?

19. Why should I choose you over another carver?
